Sometimes the answer is simpler than we think. Do make sure that you check out what your body is doing and not just blame everything on the brain. (I'm not saying it's
not the brain, more just saying it's easy to skip other possibilities when all the daily energy goes into the brain, does that make sense?)
Low blood sugar can really do a number on the systems - headaches, ear ringing, forgetfulness, etc. When I start feeling like I'm slipping down the mountain, mood-wise, I have to ask myself - what did you have to eat today
and did you forget your meds? About half the time I then realize that it's four in the afternoon and I've had coffee, cigarettes, and medication. So I find some food.
I'm not saying that is what was going on with you when you posted, just that it could have been.
I do pretty good talking about some skills I've learned to self soothe. I have been using my meds as prescribed and have not self harmed for about 5 months. My sleep is much improved since having reiki and yoga.
And all these things are awesome, and they are helping. I get really discouraged when I feel like I'm doing everything right and I'm still wading through mud. But this stuff is hard, and all those great daily habits you've got are paying off dividends that you might not always see.
Thinking of you.
