I just broke my therapist's chair :(

My T's office is in her home. One excruciating moment for both of us was when her young granddaughter got lost in the corridor outside and started crying. Loong awkward silence! Not sure who was more embarrassed. In the end she left to take her back to her parents at the other end of the house.

Well, at T's office, there is a hallway with several other T offices (its a clinic) and they look really similar, so I guess she thought I remembered which door was hers, and she was walking behind me, stopped to check something and told me to go on in and sit down, so I did. In another T's office :bag: and I didn't even notice for a minute, I sat down (the offices all look basically the same, desk and two chairs, it looked the same!) and then realized I made a mistake... luckily, it was empty, whoever worked there was out for a minute I guess, so my T is the only one who knew about it :laugh:

I used to do my practicum in a counselling agency. One time I was cleaning out the supply closet, and a counsellor exited her room with a chair. She told me one of her clients accidentally wet her pants a little and some got on the chair. I quickly grabbed another chair and helped her swap them. I pulled the chair out of the way, and cleaned it in the supply closet. We are all human and things happen. What was embarrassing for this woman was on our end. We were more worried about how she would feel.

If you have a therapist intentionally making you feel bad, especially for an accident like that.....time to get a new one!

My t has these chairs, they swivel, they rock, they recline; I have ADD and fidget a lot, and the more you fidget the move the chair gradually reclines. Last time, I made a sudden move and the chair declined so far back I was looking at the ceiling :O_o::hilarious: so I reached back and yanked the chair back to sitting up, the t just stared and said, “are you done?”:bag:
