Hubs is going from strength to strength right now. It is as if he has found the proactive section of his brain and turned it on rather than being reactive.

As the days pass from his last admission, nearly a month now,he is just better by the day.

The change of mood along with the new meds for some of the physical plus upping the psych meds has made such a difference.

The worst of his symptoms have all but gone but this in turn makes some of the lesser symptoms more apparent and they in turn become the new biggies.

I'm still on baby ears alert of a night, that may take some time to recede if ever it does.

I don't think I will ever want a full chefs set back in the house ever again.

I'm fully aware that this could be short term as ptsd seems to be somewhat cyclical.

But for now...

The light is definately on at the end of the tunnel.:D

He's even been on a secret shopping mission all on his own for something !

Today he is out with some friends and yesterday another friend went for a walk with him.

His friends have also noticed the difference and seem to be taking him under thier wings with a view to helping him regain his independance from me and to regain whatever physical fitness is possible.

I'm so glad we have good friends and majorly excited that hubby now wants to spend time with them and do things to aid his own recovery.

Now to start picking up a few threads of my own existence.

Starting today by making one valentines card and three birthday cards!

Fabulous news!!!!!!!!! Being proactive and increasing independence, what a difference. The thought of it is bringing a huge smile to my face because I know how much relief you will be feeling right now. I'm guessing at a basic level it's easier to breath and think more clearly. :) Great progress for both of you .  Keep up the good work.

Well done both of you Wife of, because it is both of you who have got him this far, and now being Pro-active in his own recovery.

It will take you a while to shut down the baby ears, even then it will not be completely, just on stand by.

Do as much as you can for yourself now, it will help in the future, for those odd slip ups that may occur.

Good to hear his friends have stepped in to help him too. That must be a godsend to you, that they are still around.

(((wife of))), If you/he are up to it, I'd love you to join us in Birmingham on the 10th March.

No pressure, just something to think about.

Great to hear this Wife of. We all know it's a roller coaster sometimes but I really hope this is sustained for you.
