I think Angles post kinda' summed up my feelings as well. When a new life is ready to come into this world, he or she deserves the best shot at a good and real life. It's hard enough as it is when all things are good.

Sorry for being over critical. But you have to admit Dave....8 months and some weeks pregnant. OK you said four months...might be when the hormones started going wild. For which I do sympathize with all woman for that. They'd have to lock men up if that happened to them.

Which makes me wonder about her mental state. Didn't she tell a friend....hey I feel like knitting a blanket and could murder a gallon of ice cream right now....is that normal? Of course all reactions are not the same...but the hormonal swing is necessary to produce a child and there generally is some sort of flag for when that happens unless there is an extreme physical reason (i.e. severely over weight, severely under weight) In which case the child is at severe risk for defects, premature birth, etc, etc.......

Ok. I'm boring myself now. Sorry. I live in baby land. All health care here is geared for children.. and nobody else.

I'm gonna be the wierdo here and see both sides. Angle, you're absolutely right, she shouldn't have been out on patol, she was a danger to her squad. Flipside, I see more and more women in our (US) armed forces doing combat jobs, faster, better and cheaper than I could have. My mind's eye goes back to that photo I uploaded here of the jet aircraft all crewed by women.

I get Air Commando magazine and our SOS outfits have women Forward Air Controllers, ParaMeds and on and on. So, I guess when you open it up to all, mistakes will be made. But I don't want to condemn an entire gender for a few problems like this. Humbly submitted.
