Thank you, @Cj77 so much, you are right. of course. I know my grandmother is in Heaven now, resting in peace, so I try to let this horrible memory lay to rest too, but once in awhile it rears its ugly head! I usually share it with others when it does. That seems to help the pain go away, at least to some degree.

The pineal gland is the seat of the third eye. Visions and attunement to effectively "supernatural" aspects of reality are linked throughout history to altered states like what we call mania. I've seen some pretty weird stuff myself. The truth is out there. Mystics, shamans, prophets and the like have always existed and provided guidance to those who are more living within the mundane world. I shouldn't say more probably already seem nuts :wacky:

@Saelben I also identify as a realist and a non-theist, but I have had prophetic dreams as a child that would usually come true within a couple of weeks. I haven't had any as an adult, though.

There are some mystic childhood experiences I had that I have since chalked up to being symptomatic of my trauma, such as waking hallucinations of a wolf who was always guarding me in my dreams.

The only recent brush I have had with what may be seen as paranormal was the night before my dear friend and client died. I hadn't been to work in a couple of days and was suddenly overwhelmed by a deep, aching, really profound sadness and grief, to the point where I began pretty emphatically sobbing. The next day, I got a call that he had died. I think I somehow knew he was leaving.

This sentence wording' implies, in the usual context, group A is unlike group B. Aka shamans NOT living in the mundane world.

As well as being down to earth too, sure.

You're changing the meaning of something said prior and pretending the meaning isn't there.
Different readings are well possible, but linguistic conventions still apply.
