I'm Doing This For Me, Because I'm Worth It

Saturday night over and still going well. Again, wine, a nice meal and a small choc bar not to excess so feeling good. I did have my hot milk tonight and really enjoyed it.
 
You're doing well KP! I'm feeling rough today so my Son (18) cooked a roast chicken with butternut squash and sprouts and then I had a small piece of my 85% cocoa chocolate. My T encourages me to drink 2 liters of water a day so I'm now doing that. I have a cup of tea in the morning and then just water, although sometimes I slip in another tea or a hot chocolate. The treats feel extra nice if you know you have done well in the day.
 
Stressed out today so I got my mountain dew. Yeh I know I shouldn't. Chicken with sweetened peach rice for dinner.

Oh another trick for cutting down the sugar and calories is Agave Nectar. Use it for coffee and tea sweetener. I like to put a little bit of coco powder and just a spoon of nectar in my coffee. I call it a choffee lol.
 
Yes, I have been using agave as a sweetener for my oatmeal and coffee for a while now and I love it. I first bought it for my vegan relatives that won't use honey. I no longer buy sugar.

You are good all of the time, like me you sometimes make wrong choices. A week is an awful long time. I would take it a day at a time. Allow treats. I always have some sort of pudding, not huge, just something to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I'm not good any time I'm ashamed of my diet I'm Such fussy eater that makes things harder. No excuses though I looked in mirror before and was disgusted by my chubby fat face and double chin.i feel so much better when I cut crap out. I need drink water to going aim for litre day start with. Now I have kept exercise for week hopefully can continue with that just done 4 mile jog. Trying get head focused towards eating for tomorrow. I will be weighing and measuring myself in fact-may ask Gym do it and then have done monthly.

How is it so many of us have weight problems? Is it a part of the PSTD, or a by product?
With my last marriage I put on 30 kilos (OMG shit.....). Guess I got nothing from him and stufffffffeeeeeddddd my face with food to make me happy, made excuses like it's my thyroid and my diabetes.
 
I think the PTSD doesn't help but with most mental health problems it is a state of mind. We get down so we eat, we do well so we treat our selves - with something to eat! LOL It's not a no win situation, it can be done!

Oh your so right, food doesn't judge us, just everyone else!
 
It's so true for me food is a comfort thing and think what you say is so true. So much in life is about mind over matter, I never actually learnt that until took up exercise a few year ago it was that which taught me so much relies on our mind. When I run I have moments where I think I can go no further but if I get past that moment and push on I realise I can. Running has soo much resemblance to Life. There are times our minds allow us to believe we can go no further sometimes we can't as our mind won't let us but sometimes we have push to see that we can and it's them moments where we prove our mind wrong that are good.

With eating it's so right why shouldn't we treat ourselves when it's a constant battle for us with our minds. The mind is so important without it what are we, we struggle and havd try harder so have have some joy. I need apply my running mind to my eating as of tomorrow. For tonight I making most of treats.
 
You eat better than me though if I didn't exercise I'd be even bigger. I have great bra stop me getting black eyes. Walking is best exercise gentle on joints I like walking, u will have let me know good hills need to start using hills in my exercise.
