Thank you. It was difficult and extremely unpleasant. He tried to tell the cops that I was hitting him. The officer didn't believe him. Luckily, after describing my relationship with this person, the officer got a clearer picture of what was going on as well. I think he was a narcissist, but either way, emotionally abusive and would have eventually turned physical (he's often said, "i wish i could hit you" to me). I was scared of him because of how crazy he was when he was yelling at me during his removal from my home.
My only concern is retaliation from my ex. He left a lot of his belongs here at my house. All of it is in my yard. His parents came to pick him up when we broke up and his mother said that they would be back this week to collect the rest of his stuff. I don't know if that was a lie to be spiteful or not. I sent a text to his father asking for a date and time they would come to collect the remainder of it so I could have the cops present. I didn't get a reply, so I had to send my ex a certified letter because he would probably try to sue me if I just threw out his stuff.
Anyway, I searched to see if he made an online dating profile. I only did that because I needed to know the chances of him contacting me again. And the fact that he made a profile so fast, makes me assume that he won't try to contact me because he's looking for a new "target" to "date". And I kind of think him and his parents had no intention of coming back to get the rest of his stuff... But I'm secretly fearful that he will become enraged by the certified letter, if he wasn't already from the text message and want to seek some sort of revenge on me. I don't know...
I'm hoping that he just leaves me alone. Do you think he will try to contact me and/or retaliate?
When we were together, he told me about break ups he had that involved him defacing property, restraining orders, and absolutely hating his old girlfriends, saying "i hope they all die" and he told me that he hopes that I die when we broke up... My therapist and my aunt, who is a psychiatric nurse, are so certain that he will try to contact me... but I am 99.9% sure that he won't. I really hope he leaves me alone and I can just throw out his stuff.
