I am hoping this is a cool idea . . . I realize I was just having an emotional flashback due to an argument taking place in a parking lot near me. I completely froze, lost it! And remembered how scared I would become during the fights in my home. I tried my best to look invisible. The few times I tried to get involved I got hurt. Nights are often hard for me. My inner child keeps bringing forth suppressed memories. She is in great need so as crazy as it seems I thought why not start a thread for our "inner child's health and well.being".

My inner child likes to play kick ball so I found us a nice ball field with a great big micky mouse ball we could use to kick. I want to be the first kicker, any takers for the pitcher position? All are welcome and since this is for our inner children . Childrens attention spans aren't always the best so if you think of something new to do go ahead post about that too. I wonder who would all like using their imaginations for this? My inner child is so happy to lead something again! Are you ready?!?!?

@Enaila and I will be setting on the sidelines having a little tea party, if she wants to. Like her, not real keen on playing just yet. Or we could be in charge of making sure there are cold drinks for the players... towels to wipe up with, if she wants to, we can talk about what we could do to participate. That way me or her won't be alone setting on the sidelines....
I like this post.... has potential to be a lot of fun. Great idea....
So @Enaila, want to make plans how we can participate and not get sweaty!!!! :playful:

WOW did some things jump out! Love to hula hoop but the size of my apartment means it would have to be done outside so that's out.
Riding a bike is one of those things all my parts like and I have a bike, just have to get back on the saddle lol.

I also would love to buy a pair of used street roller skates. Climbing trees is another. It is so cool to sit up in a tree and no one notice you there. You can watch all going on and feel a powerful invisibleness by choice.

Looking for lady bugs, butterflies, watching birds or even ants outside is cool.

I forgot about coloring. Love to color. I also have a small children's book library. The Secret Garden, Winnie the Pooh, The Borrowers, The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew, Dragon Rider and more. Sometimes I read them silent and other times out loud.

Paper dolls and jax.

Last month I went to one of those travelling fairs, the one's that make you pay and arm and a leg for a stuffie or toy eh? Well, do you know, in *cough* 38 years, I have never played those games before, because I know they are for suckers. But I went and played, my sister and s/o were there, and I was like a kid in a candy store! It was SO much fun. My sister and s/o loved my reaction after the first toy (which was the watergun), they kept feeding my playing habit so I came home with a bounty lol.

The turtle is Maxwell, the unicorn is Horatio, and the Owl is Orlando. Man that was a blast x My inner child adores new situations and experiences once the social anxiety passes.

@ladee onesies, twosies.... LoL a great game that taught seeing numbers in groups quickly and catch the ball. Great fun.

I also loved playing badminton by myself and see how long I could keep the birdie in the air.

Even though I developed the habit of keeping my head down sometimes I find the coolest stuff on the ground. A neat rock or shell on the beach, various leaves in the fall so it was not always a bag thing.

^^ *the best thing about having a 12 year old, well and all the years before that, is buying her toys so I can play with them* x bubbles, jump rope, jacks and marbles. I love to buy retro toys from my childhood to share with her, we played Simon on Friday (the beeping game, boy does that get annoying after a while haha), and we made Snoopy Snow Cones, good fun :)
