The money to eliminate the risk is there.
And I am racking my brain why the reaction is so slow.

The big money behind them might be the reason.
Any further would go into tinfoil hat area but they remind of locusts.
Swarm, destroy, assimilate or occupy.

Grizz, they are way beyond N-Iraq.

Arwarfighter, with all due respect, easier said than done.
The animal that killed the journalist J Foley is born and bred UK citizen. Speaks with a middle class East-London accent.

Besides the immigrant children born in the west, there are genetically "western" people who have converted. No more fiery in believe then those converted.

In prison it's a big thing. People join the religious boys for protection. When they come out, the welcome committee is already waiting for them.
With a safe place to stay, food and eventually an assignment.

You might never know who is an extremist and who isn't.
I'm careful to make a difference between a certain religion or background and extremism.
It might however come to the point where there is no telling.

On what? Dresscode?
Colour of skin?
We're on a slippery slope here my friend cos once we start condemning people for their background, we are in 1936 again.

I have no solution but how can you tell who is who?
My son looks like he could be anything from French to downright Arab. Depending on the light, how much he's been in the sun, you name it.
You might be willing to wait until someone is a confirmed extremist. Others don't always have that kind of insight or self restraint.
Moslim friends of mine are getting really fed up with defending that they're NOT extremists and they're walking in a protestmarch against ISIS.

I'll fight allright. Against the people that threaten everything we fought for over the centuries.
Our freedom, our right of speech, our vote as women long after men got it.
Only the list of groups, organisations and individuals threatening that is a hell of a lot longer then what is written above.
You tell me how I don't take out the wrong person and I'll tattoo it on my arm to be sure.

Uhhmmm Either you misunderstood me or I am misunderstanding you. I am not a racist. I used the list of groups I did because the topic of discussion was the possible threat posed by a Muslim extremist group. I don't know what slippery slope you are on, but I am on firm ground. You may have missed that part about "my acre". Meaning that if a "they" (refer to the aforementioned list) were to show up at my house I will end their existence. I wasn't talking about going around popping a new ass in folks I think might be extremists. That tattoo should read something like "If they are pointing a weapon at me I can shoot them". By the way that is a good way to make sure you don't take out the wrong people. Look for the ones that are armed.

Our job as soldiers puts us in harms way. We're an Army, we have great numbers, one of us that dies is just a number on the news. News people are high value targets to groups like isis, they know that they have value and people will pay attention. Isis is a very savvy group technically, politically and media wise as well. They aren't a bunch of people living in the desert in tents. They have worldwide connections and know how to use them. They're are the proverbial 'spin doctors' with what they're doing. Sadly, I don't think we're ever going to be done with the mid east.

Arwarfighter, our situation is different.
In the EU we are not allowed to own arms without a license, arms in a safe and transported locked to the range.
Having a baseball bat near the bed and whacking a burglar is intended purpose to use.
It would end my butt in jail.
People that own a fireweapon and keep it near the bed and use it to defend themselves, are in more trouble than any intruder.
People with PTSD will never be allowed a license to own a firearm anymore. Ironic for vets isn't it?

I broadened the group of people who are aiming to limit our freedom.
Our governments (EU) being part of them.

As far as muslim extremists go, they are a huge problem here.
Today the government announced that any imams spreading hatred will be send back to country of origin or refused entry.
Fat lot of good that will do.

My point was that there are converts coming out of the prison system who are firmly in the clutches of extremists.
I can't tell by their clothes what their intentions are up until the point someone tries to hurt me.
Again this is not limited to ISIS supporters although I think they pose a bigger threat than any previous enemy.

Here you have two choices.
Either sit quiet like a good sheeple and wait to be taken out or take illegal measures.

If there is any comparison possible, it reminds of the begin days of islam. If there is truth in how fast their prophet spread and gained followers, this is pretty much the same situation.
Boko Haram announced a khalifat in Niger as well.
It's not racist to point out that a certain group is openly out to kill anyone that differs of opinion.
The slippery slope we have in the EU is that people who have nothing to do with those groups get attacked on basis of their looks alone.
That's affecting me personally and a case of worry.

Groups like this have, do and will always exist. That said, prejudice is fueled by fear of the unknown or that which is different than you or even perceived to be. From the time that humans first formed groups beyond basic family units these things have gone on. The world has always been a dangerous place. It's just that we hear about everything everywhere the second it happens today.

Just because you have a 'just want to be left alone' attitude doesn't mean that you will be.

Yeah, I think I misunderstood what you were saying at first. I see now what you were talking about. I am not familiar with the laws on self defense in the EU, but they sound like they suck. Here in the states it is getting more and more that if you defend yourself you are the criminal instead of the person you are defending yourself from. Our current president is a spineless disgrace to the office he holds (but that's another discussion all together) so no help coming from the government. I just went through a year long fight with the VA after they tried to deem me "incompetent" to handle my own affairs. Which would have made it illegal for me to own, purchase, or transport firearms or ammo. I told them they could go f*ck themselves. And as of last Friday that decision has been revered. The governments of the world want us unarmed, fat, and lazy so we have to depend on them for everything. Makes us easier to control. They want sheeple as you said.

That reporter knew full and well that was a risk he was taking not only to get the report but also a paycheck. The other reporter that was over there was released over this weekend from Syria.

ISIS is certainly bad news. The destabilization in the region after we left ultimately breed this group. When al-Qaeda says this group is to radical for them to associate with, that's a clear indication of how bad this group is.

Those that think they can simply knock out these people with some air strikes are ultimately delusional. They are extremely mobile. They can blend into the population just like other terror groups within Syria and Iraq. That's what makes dealing with any group over there difficult to defeat.

They pretty much come into a city and pillage it. They knock out banks and have gained millions. They will ultimately have the power, funds, and plans to eventually come into the United States. It might not be on a large scale but they have the ability to come in and do damage. You also know full and well that some of those people are already within the states, Canada, and England. That has been confirmed over and over again by several sourced.

I agree 100%.

You go from Soldier to Outlaw.
I'm not waiting on somebody to come help my ass.

They should get their stories straight. The better one I've heard was about ISIS littering the border with Mexico with Qu'rans, because it would apparently make sense in some journalist's head for Muslim anyone, nevermind Islamist, to do with a holy book.

Heard this morning about this...
Social media chatter shows Islamic State militants are keenly aware of the porous U.S.-Mexico border, and are “expressing an increased interest” in crossing over to carry out a terrorist attack, according to a Texas law enforcement bulletin sent out this week.
“A review of ISIS social media messaging during the week ending August 26 shows that militants are expressing an increased interest in the notion that they could clandestinely infiltrate the southwest border of US, for terror attack,” warns the Texas Department of Public Safety "situational awareness" bulletin, obtained by FoxNews.com.
