Is It Just Me?

Out of the mouths of babes. How do we process trauma? Indeed. Well, I have been trying to go to a 2 month PTSD treatment and none wants to send me.

Sorry about what your'e going through. :( I would love to know too.
None of my doctors will see me until next month. I told them I am sick with trauma and having headaches
etc. And they are not taking it seriously. I am "not happy".
It is not a clinic. It's a large hospital. Why the wait?

Its crazy; noone takes it seriously. Its kind of funny, if you can picture this: I was in the psychiatrists office after he gave me a scathing review which began with " you have a history of dealing poorly with your emotions" ( no f*cking kidding), and ended with me storming out of his office after calling him sexist. The funny part was after he totally minimized what I was going through ( as if somehow I was creating it), I told him he was wrong and then I said " Body"....and pointed to the chair as if my body was there, " go into shock...go into shock". It was funny- as if I could make myself. I wrote him a 4 page letter ( to the College here that oversees complaints) and really I should have sent him a letter that just said, " f*ck off"..it took me 4 pages.

What I have gone through since Mar 1 I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Lots of great support here though!

So, patience is probably helpful and coming on here lots!

That's funny.:) I can picture it because of dealing with the medical system for 20 years. I'm proud that you stood up for yourself.

Well FairyWings, I think I know MY PTSD you know? Everyone's PTSD has general symptoms, most of which I learned from comparing and contrasting my symptoms with other people's. But with every individual, comes a specific PTSD that interferes with their unique system; still working on a 'cure' though you know? :)

Yes, and that's why I'm taking it my healing in my own hands...sort of.
