I have PTSD from experiencing a decade of sexual abuse as a child. But my boyfriend cheated on my a year into our relationship then again about 2 years ago. We've been together nearly 6 years now. I've found now that certain things trigger flahbacks to finding out about the cheating which cause flashbacks to the abuse. The night terrors now include the cheating and so do my panic attacks.

I think it makes sense. PTSD is often about betrayal, especially with child sexual abuse. Any subsequent major betrayal like this could cause more symptoms. I hope you're in therapy -- this would be a very good thing to talk about.

Trust is huge and could be affect

I would say the cheating is affecting your sense of security and violating a trust that could very well be causing symptoms that you are describing. Good luck. Been there and it really hurts .
