Is It Possible Get Ptsd From Physical Assault?

I don't like to describe it so much, since my perpetrators were punished, the basic details are that

1) Was chased and restrained me with a wire. (this is the traumatic part)
2) Threw an item at me, which I got injured

Is this a possible criteria for PTSD?

Only requirement is a Criteria A event so yes this qualifies but is it or is it not PTSD is less important then dealing with the symptoms you have and the trauma itself.

Not at the moment, I tried reaching out for a confidential service, they asked for my identity card, I got a little scared and back out. There is still a stigma about PTSD...

Id not advise "i may have PTSD" and more of "i need a therapist for past trauma". Seek a trauma therapist.

Criterion A is one of several criteria for PTSD. To be diagnosed with PTSD, you have to match all of the criteria. It's not just about how bad the trauma was, it's mainly about how the trauma continues to influence your life.

If you think you got hurt in a way that causes you ongoing problems, then get help for the ongoing problems. You might have PTSD. You might have Adjustment Disorder, or Reactive Depression.

If your problems don't last for months and months, then this forum won't be entirely relevant for you. But it's still a problem worth fixing.
