@CharlotteB Yep, that one was a hard one for me, too. We had an issue come up, he shut down and pushed me away, I worked my ass off to fix things and talk some sense into him, but all the while it was going in one ear and out the other. And I felt like I was digging myself into a bigger and bigger hole! Several weeks later, once he caught his breath and calmed down,
he told
me to try again - that he was ready to listen. He knew he was finally ready to have a real conversation.
Once we (the supporters) can figure that out...well, it has been a huge positive for me. They need major patience from us, but when they come back around, they can be grownups about what is going on. It just can't happen when their going round and round in their own heads. So we have to wait.
@Ccspec you need to give yourself more credit. Let's assume the worst case scenario - you never hear from your guy again. Awful, but not your fault. You need to look in a mirror and tell yourself that you are an amazing woman. Say it until you believe it. There is no way in hell someone could forget me. I rocked his world and I am unforgetable! Whatever his reason for not calling - it is his own cross to bare. You got that? :) Be confident, so that if and when he does call, your insecurities don't add more problems. Like what
