I've Been Kidnapped And Put On A Cruise Ship!

Firstly, on Sunday we went for dinner at the main pier in Melbourne with my family and his brother.
I had wanted to have his brother over for lunch for Yum Cha at the local chinese restaraunt, but his brother 'stuffed up', and so came along for lunch instead.

At the end of lunch, we went for a walk on the pier, looking at the ships, at the end of the pier, everyone stopped behind me, pulled out cameras, and started filming me......I was definitely suspicious now!

My partner handed me a note, saying that he had indeed been up to mischief, and as a result, we had 15 minutes to board the cruiseship behind us!

He handed me the tickets, and I thought it was a joke because it said the departure and destination were Melbourne, but then he said that we were going to New Zealand!

I was in absolute shock, and then my brother came up with the luggage, and I was shunted onto a gorgeous huge cruise ship!

I had 4 days to recover from that shock whilst we cruised to NZ, but on the morning that we sailed into port in Auckland, he had another surprise waiting for me!

He got me up at 8am, and sent me to the front desk where the concierge handed me a note typed on a love heart.....it directed me up a floor to another retail worker who handed me a box of chocolates and another note which sent me back to the concierge.

The concierge handed me an adorable teddy and another note, and then offered to escort me to the next destination which was somewhere on the ship that I had never been before.

We headed up to the top deck, and then the concierge got me to wait for a moment and then we went up.

The Sanctuary is a lounge on the top of the deck with a lovely round wading pool and gorgeous lounge chairs, small trees and shrubs.

My partner was waiting for me there, and gave me a note to read out loud whilst he stood behind me.
I read the note out loud, and it was so sweet and loving that I started to tear up, so he told me to turn around.

He was waiting on one knee with a sign in his hand, and then pulled out the ring and said, "Will you marry me?"

There was stunned silence for about 5 seconds, and then I said, "Of Course!"

I then promptly wrapped my arms around him and burst into tears, shaming myself and the female species forever.

The ship had almost docked, but a lady had turned around and saw us, offered her congratulations and took a picture for us!

Another step forward in having a 'normal' loving life with the man of my dreams, and the ring of my dreams.

I'd call that a success!

Here's to the rest of our lives together, and to the milestones we will make, be it in PTSD or our life goals.

Thanks for all your support my friends, I'm looking forward to a wonderful life with all of you surrounding me.
