I got a phone call from the boss yesterday and the good news is that I got the job!!!!!!!:D:tup:

We will be having an induction day sometime in October and then I start at the end of October (not sure of the dates yet). The shop will be in a garden centre close to where I live which has just built a massive new extension with lots of new shops. The building isn't quite finished so that is why the start date isn't set yet.

It is exciting to be there at the start when the shop isn't even opened. The 'boss' said that he had received over 300 applications and interviewed 30 people, so I am very pleased to have been chosen.

The job will involve selling craft products - paper crafts, knitting, embroidery, art and kids stuff. I will aslo do demonstration work.

I am excited, nervous and haven't yet come down to planet earth! This is a big deal for me but I only have to do 16 hours at first so it won't be too stressful (I hope). Everyone will be new and finding their feet at first. I get a 20% discount in store and a 10% discount in the garden centre so I will have to be careful not to buy the whole shop!:hug:

I'll write again with more info when I find out more.
