I'm actually self employed, so job interviews aren't really a part of my life...(thank heavens). But I applied for a part time job a few weeks ago, just a couple of hours a week, that would fit in around my work.
I got an interview, which was this morning.
I went to bed dreading this morning, and woke up with the certain knowledge that I couldn't go. Typing about all this is even stressing me out and my fingers are shaking. I managed to get myself dressed and out the door (with much bullying from hub), and made it to the train. On the walk from the station, I felt sick, dizzy, cold sweat - I tried to do some breathing techniques, but nearly ended up hyperventilating. I was right on the edge of a panic attack the whole way there.
BUT I did it. I made it to the interview, and I went through with it. And managed to string some sentences together!
I actually think I completely stuffed the actual interview up, but I'm focusing on the fact that I made it through without chickening out and just running. Definite achievement.
