Job Interview

I'm actually self employed, so job interviews aren't really a part of my life...(thank heavens). But I applied for a part time job a few weeks ago, just a couple of hours a week, that would fit in around my work.

I got an interview, which was this morning.

I went to bed dreading this morning, and woke up with the certain knowledge that I couldn't go. Typing about all this is even stressing me out and my fingers are shaking. I managed to get myself dressed and out the door (with much bullying from hub), and made it to the train. On the walk from the station, I felt sick, dizzy, cold sweat - I tried to do some breathing techniques, but nearly ended up hyperventilating. I was right on the edge of a panic attack the whole way there.

BUT I did it. I made it to the interview, and I went through with it. And managed to string some sentences together!

I actually think I completely stuffed the actual interview up, but I'm focusing on the fact that I made it through without chickening out and just running. Definite achievement.

Congratulations!!! Interviews are stressful enough for people without our issues. Add the symptoms you had this morning and you get triple the kudos! The outcome is always out of our hands. Only our efforts are within so you succeeded in a major way in my opinion.
