I was sexually abused for most of my childhood by family members. Not to mention emotionally abused. I decided after I was 12, and stopped myself from committing suicide, that I would only do useful things for society. I wanted to work in law enforcement and put people in jail. That worked well for 20 years until my childhood caught up with me.

I have since lost my job in law enforcement (technically I had to medically retire) and pandora's box has opened. I have tried to kill myself several times yet I'm still here. I don't know why I'm still dealing with this, but it's good to see that there is a support system out there. Thanks.

I so remember the opening of Pandora's box. I thought I had successfully moved on from my past and then was hit by the tidal wave of memories many years later.

I am glad that you are still here. You are so important. I hope that you are receiving some kind of therapy to help you process all those childhood memories.
