After extensive testing and therapy I was diagnosed with PTSD by a psychiatrist. Prior to that I knew what PTSD was but I was not willing to use that label without being told by a professional. I feel that when a person says "I feel or I think I have PTSD, etc" than he/she is possibly misleading others.
For example I diagnose myself with PTSD and come to the conclusion that I need medication and so I go to a doctor and say, Im sure I have PTSD and I need something for it, doctors reaction will be: were you tested, or how do you know you have PTSD?
I obviously have lots to learn, and like I've said before, I am not here to judge or offend anyone. And once again I do apologise if I did.
