Lag in processing

Does anyone have a lag in processing stimuli? For example I will be listening to the radio and know internally the song that is about to come on and then it will come on. I'm not psychic but I'm wondering if my lack of integration means I am actually experiencing time in a partially delayed manner.

Maybe? I don’t have that, but I have found that when I am triggered and disassociated the world looks shiny. My brain also sometimes presents a flipped image. Like the car I see is on the left instead of the right. Later, I realize that my memory was distorted. (I would not make a good witness in a crime)

No but I am a little psychic. Especially with my wife and daughters. But like when I was in business I saw a pattern in it. One of my customers would be intruding in my thoughts, just on my mind sorta and then they'd call. I used to think it was like I could hear them thinking about me.

All the time!

Sometimes it’s an obvious lag where I don’t put 2+2 together until hours or days later.

Interesting theory on the momentary lag. Certainly feels psychic.

I'm not psychic...

To my way of thinking psychic just means "of the mind." I believe we are all psychic and it is only to the degree that we are willing to accept our gifts that make a difference. So with that in mind, I will say that I think that *the need to know things ahead of time in order to be safe from toxic others, maybe even as children, may be one reason we often know things beforehand. *(a survival mechanism.)

This is just my take on it. I know that I definitely operate on a delay system and this may be what you are experiencing. I hadn't really thought of it as a psychic before, but I can understand how it could be perceived that way. Pre-cognitive means "before thought" and there are many subtle clues in a given environment that more sensitive types will pick up on and maybe the delay in time plays into that sensitivity as well. Definitely food for thought!!!

I hope this is somehow helpful to you! I want to add that this is just my opinion, so please take it for what it is.

Thanks,
Lionheart

This right there. Our subconscious is amazing. And having a disorder from (a) harmful situation(s), it has an evolutionary advantage to be able to pick up those cues faster or more consciously, as lionheart mentioned.

Knowing a song will be played before it comes on? Not actually so surprising. It could be from tiny cues of the radio host. Also, on almost all radio stations, most songs end up being played from quite a limited collection of songs and in one of only a few different orders.

Also, we tend to space out, but our subconscious will still pick up all those different cues.
