Last movie or tv series you watched?

might look into the book(s?) it was based on
Sometimes - when the movie comes first - the book is nothing like what we expect. I remember Red October. Movie and book were about as far apart as you could get. But apart from the general premise, characters and title - two totally different things...

NRL Rugby
Rugby Premiership final. Bath's 30 year struggle finally brought them a championship.

i come into my curiosity aware of that, i just like the base concept.

i was wondering while i watched it what bits actually came from the book, but some things i’m invested more for the idea than the specific characters or story at hand. this being one of them.

if it was the characters or story the movie told i was most into then i probably wouldn’t bother, i’m a bit of a movie adaptation cynic lol. but i’m a little curious about the book for what it might have done with the core concept the movie drew from. (giant mechanised city on tracks)

Tehran.

Which just feels… wrong?

Active HumInt is always freestyle, but this representation of the Mossad? Is like watching the Marx Bros. They’re the second best in the game (the Catholic Church is first, still, in the west AFAIK). And this show has them slipping on bananas. It’s just… propagandish. Like the company are made up of eedjits, instead of consummate professionals. Sure, they probably have their own eedjits to contend with but this??? Is just not the mossad. It’s a castraited Goliath, intended to… what? Make people think they’re vulnerable? Lazy? Untrustworthy? The Mossad??? Sure. And a Serbian hit squad won’t end you, with orders to. FFS. How STUPID is this show???

Blood of my Blood

It’s made SO WELL that I’ll keep watching it, purely for the acting and production quality. (I’ve watched a lot of rubbish the past couple years I’ve been sick). But it’s also? The. Same. Story. >.< And not.

The Day of the Jackal

Catching up on "Murders In The Building." Not sure what to make of it..... I enjoyed Steve Martin's comedy album from the 1970's much better. So clever. This show isn't as clever to me.
