Last session of year!

Had my last session of the year this morning! It was OK, nothing big because I won't be speaking to her for 3 weeks now, not feeling good about that but it is what it is and obviously, she deserves the break too...so I'm not bitter or anything! I need to give her a quick email, just to let her know about payment and I don't know, I want to add a little end of year appreciation and tell her how amazing and lovely she is. Part of me feels this may be inappropriate....I'm not sure

"appropriate" within a pro/patient relationship seems to vary even more wildly than family relationships. follow your heart. appreciation is a well used tool in my own psychotherapy toolbox.

in live support groups, attendance swells as fat as the shopping mall attendance. pro holidays are pretty high on the list of reasons why. congratulations on being stable enough to be okay with the 3 weeks off.
