Bless, I've just had 2 small children knock at my door. They also went to my neighbours. I answered and they gave me a picture which they had drawn, it was all about the olympics. Very sweet, I had to smile.

I love the gold post boxes, and all the stamps - just brilliant. I can't imagine what it would be like to see your own face on a stamp. Good for them!!

I kind of feel that us Brits have taken over this thread - I suppose it just goes to show how much influence 'home' support has!!

I'm loving how happy people are. We've managed to hold an Olympics without falling flat on our faces, the BA ads saying "Home Advantage" (which looked so badly judged in the first few days) are now OK, we're so happy about our medals and we're happy about everyone else's too... It's so nice to have so many people happy for a change.

Olympic news here this morning - The French have been openly verbalizing their belief that the Brits have some kind of high-tech equipment hidden in their bicycle tires (since Jason Kenny - i think that's his name - won against their French hero and medal hopeful) in the speed racing (whatever the name of the sport is where they ride around really slowly in a circle until the last lap - lol). Turns out - the Brits wheels are made in France.
