Was out of town again for work last Monday so most of my workouts were confined to running and pool work in the hotel.

I was able to find some workouts on line just to assist with some cross training and I always bring my door-bands in case the gyms don't have weights.

I have a marathon in Sept so I have been mostly doing road work with some swimming (non-impact recovery stuff) - I will increase my mileage until two weeks before the marathon and then ease off a bit.

Also lots of fartleks are helping.
I miss Homer - but I am home tomorrow thankfully!

This is what I have done so far. It has been real tough for me.

@City Slicker Your post helped me so much. It gave me huge boost I needed. I think I will take some time to check out other Road Warriors progress in this thread. CS, you are great Road Warrior. I will share some other things I learned last month.

Oh I am so glad last month is over. Walking was greatest challenge, but it has changed now. It's not challenge for me anymore, it's like it's in my routine now. Oh, I work to build a daily routine,too. All is working out. I didn't know I could this all.

Sounds everyone in this thread, is in, except me.

@Anrish Thank you. :) :hug:

@City Slicker That means a lot. I will wear that tee-shirt proudly. :happy:

Thanks so much. I am glad to know my contribution in this thread helps you to stay inspired. :)

There were days I felt full of energies due to being happy, I thought I could walk and add one more km to walking. Then later thought not to rush, now I am thinking to use that more energy to do some other activities.

Walking has helped me to get fresh air.

Now today I start my month, last two days were rest for me.

I will be posting the updates weekly.

I usually do a 30 minute exercise program at the senior center, on weekdays. However I had to go see my psychiatrist today, so I missed my usual routine. I made up for this by walking up and down stairs, lifting weights, doing some sit ups, and a long walk outside in the cool of the morning. My Dr. made some major changes in my medicine regimen today, so I am implementing a whole new exercise routine to go with it, as well as my usual 30 minutes.

As a side note, I would like to pass along some info that a nurse gave me this week. She said it is important to do weight lifting and weight bearing exercises each day, to help keep your bones healthy. This is a known way to ward off osteoporosis, a disease that effects folks over 50 yrs of age by lessening their bone mass and causing crippling effects due to this. Also, it is important to get enough vitamin D and calcium to ward off this disease.
