@City Slicker: I feel always a bit short on breath after I donated blood (thanks to the missing haemoglobin). It takes about one week to ten days to get back to my usual form. :D ...I still train but I have to do it slower.

That's a good thought how you think about your future dog. I'm also looking forward to you to have it. ;) ...what exactly is ashtanga? I'm new on the yoga topic....

@Anrish, I read somewhere too that dogs also give blood for canine emergencies.

You inspired me to check out donation locations. I volunteer but the last year it's been harder with my work schedule - giving blood is something I can do!

Ashtanga is a type of yoga that I would describe as 'muscular' - it's fast and athletic and in a way, I guess it's counterintuitive to what I normally think of as yoga but I really liked it - it's a more active way to accomplish the same calmness of mind and body.

Today was a 25k run and then an unexpected 20k cycle. Tomorrow Krav Maga and a 4k hike/run with Homer.

@City Slicker : I never heard that about the dogs but it sounds really fascinating. I will investigoogle on this. ;)

Glad that I inspired you.:x3::rolleyes: ...I think to do this four times per year doesn't hurt too much and if I can save lifes with that - it's just worth the effort.

Thanks for the explanation. It sounds really interesting and I will see if I can find something similar around here. I also prefer to move...:whistling:
