I have been doing a new weight lifting routine that is adding some core stability to my workouts.

I am definitely an adrenaline junky so since having Hank ( my dog) I have been working more on slowing down and feeling planted. Hank needs the slowness and calmness of movements and I see that when I move quickly it disrupts him. His trust is growing in leaps and bound yet I see the side effects of whatever hell he has been through. Changing how I move is the least I can do for him and it's helping me to see how aggravating I can be when I am physically 'wound up' which is usually always lol.

I thought I would take the 'feedback' and work on staying focused and 'intentional' in my movements. Weights do that really well and it's something I can do at home. I do a bit of a treadmill run and then hit the weights. upper body one day, lower body the next day and abs usually five times per week.

So far it's working - I won't go too long without a long run because the long runs are usually when I work things out, problems, work things, personal thoughts get worked out and I get my head right during those runs.

Early morning long run today - I did a 32km route out all tolled - it was a route on one of my running apps that got a really good review and it took me a lot more north than I usually run.

Gonna do some stretching later today after work and maybe a nice long bath and a good book.

Okay, had a hard time getting motivation recently, and I really fell out of shape, especially for fighting. I need to train aikido, and I found amazing motivation. And I'm doing it, I'm parcticing. Though for some stuff, it might be hard mode due to hard floor :p but have enough experience for gravel :P

Hammering my huge iron hard steel blade for hours :p Forging is fun

@Saelben: Enjoy the forging! My flatmate learns to forge as a professional and she's always really exhausted after that...:D

I'm back again! After I had the flu for about a week...:cautious:

Yesterday: 50 min run + Yoga Nidra
