Or look for commnunity services to help you. The state l am in is very proactive, many low-fee income based clinics. But the other state l was in wasn't so great. Good luck, check state website, check mental health resources for your area, look for free clinics, and even companies pay people to try new meds for depression, newspaper has ads, etc. Please don't give up, you maybe on them for three months and you may feel better. Sometimes dosage or pill name may be changed if not working for you, this happens.

Wow I didn't even know they had generic pills.. are these easily obtainable over the counter? I just need to be careful because I'm being watched and if I pay in a certain way that can give my location away or exactly what I'm buying, it could lead to complications.

I'm still a bit worried about taking them. Also, would the generic take longer to take effect? Thanks for the information, I'll keep that in mind in case I feel the need to harm myself. It'll at least be one less thing to worry about haha.

I don't mind getting prescribed medication. I'd rather be prescribed, even though I wouldn't want to take it because then at least the option is there and I'd be taking something that doctors think would be safe for me..somewhat. Sorry, my last comment made it seem like I was trying to get them illegally haha. That's not what I'm after.

No worries, not here to judge people. You are here asking for help and you seem open to meds. Some people swear by generic, some people curse them. Everyone's chemistry is different, so doc prescribes until they find the med that works for you. So try checking where your at for free clinic or sliding income. Then you need to ask for help treating depression. Sometimes you can order stuff from Canada after you see online doc, and the online doc will give you prescription. Please stay healthy and please take care of yourself!
