If you like Apoclalyptica here are some similar bands with songs that are on my PTSD playlist.

Within Temptation: It's the Fear, Lost, Overcome they have a ton of songs that I can relate to PTSD

Sirena: Path to Decay

Nightwish: Nemo

So far I've got:

REM - Country Feedback
The Mars Volta - The Widow
Moist - Black, Black Heart...
When I have those days,
I jam out with:
Alice In Chains: What the Hell Have I, Sea of Sorrow, Get Born Again
Metallica: Hero of the Day, Until it Sleeps, King Nothing
Rob Zombie: Superbeast, Dragula, Never Gonna Stop
Pantera: Cowboys From Hell
Days of the New: Shelf in the Room (not super well know but I love them, (good acoustic)
Stone Temple Pilots: Anything is good
I listen at full volume, become my own world. I already have tinnitus so....

Quote......."as others have said, sound of silence by disturbed is the best. I listen to that song a lot...by far one of my favourite ones."

I liked every track on that LP, especially The Boxer and April Comes She Will.

I suggest goving Thursday a listen. They are a little screamo, but I absolutely love his voice and he is by far one of my favorite lyricists.

I recommend: understanding in a car crash, cross out the eyes, war all the time, asleep in the chapel, signals over the air, this song brought to you by a falling bomb, and jet black new year.
