Some books might seem dated because of the year they were published. Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy was published in 1980. Like @Ms Spock, I certainly wish I had read this book then. Thanks to those sharing on this site, the book became known to me and it is one of those rare finds that I know I will repeatedly read when I feel myself starting to spiral. While David Burns did not develop this therapy, he was the first to write a book for the patient, the one suffering. He made the technique and tools easy to understand and apply.
I don't know if this was shared before but below is a Ted Talk with Dvid Burns. Tissue warning though, you might not get through it dry eyed.
