And songs for the trip!

OK, I'll be serious. I hope the road trip is one of those experiences that you remember for a life time. Have a good time, have a memorable time, but have a safe trip.

Lucy picked me up at the airport, and I only had ONE carry-on! I was so proud, since we are traveling into areas where it could be 70 degrees one day and snowing the next. Not only is it hard to pack considering the possibility of a blizzard, but how do you pack for potential earthquakes, tsunamis or volcanic eruptions? It is amazing what a determined person can fit into a carry-on.

Being from the Midwest, we call the Appalachians mountains, and Ethyl keeps calling the mountains here "foot hills". You know I think Ethyl must have just been hitting the Vitameatavegamin a little too hard, but then we hit the Cascades!!! Kind of like the Appalachians on steroids. I know why they call them the Cascades, because when you are driving you feel like you are cascading down the the side. Having the sensation of riding a roller-coaster in an automobile is not something you experience on flat terrain. Kind of unnerved Ethyl when I threw my arms in the air and yelled "Weeeee"! :D

Pics are coming once I figure out how to take the card thingy out of the camera thingy and put it into the computer thingy.....

Lucy did great with her packing considering she thought she had to pack for every natural disaster there could possibly be. Not to mention every kind of weather. Hmmm.....what does she know that I don't. Me....well I packed my entire life into the trunk of my car and a couple bags on the back seat. Oh my lord my car is about overflowing. Not sure yet where we are going to put Lucy's daughter when we pick her up along the way. We did see a free couch on the side of the road...maybe we could strap it to the roof as extra seating.

Lucy says she threw her hands up and yelled "weeee".....LOL...that is not the impression I was getting. I thought she was so scared she yelled "I'm gonna peeeee!!!" Glad she cleared that up for me....thought my driving was sending her over the edge :O_o:

Okay, while Lucy is figuring out her "thingy's" I will post a couple pictures to wet the appetite for more.....

HA!!!

Strap it to the roof and let her ride it like the Titanic- although on second thought maybe that is not such a great symbolism ...however it goes, HAVE FUN!!! :) :) :)

Peace and joy,
Rain
