Lucy And Ethyl's Cross Country Road Trip

This is one of the best road trips I've ever hitched hiked on. Thanks for all the pictures and the stories. The only thing missing was the campfire, marshmallows a beer or two. This was a great gift you've both shared with us. BTW, Lucy wasn't the only one who needed some depends on this trip. Your story would do a great comic TV serie or movie!

I haven't been able to keep up with you guys, but then who on earth could? I had to pull over myself the other day to get my bearings on the way home from visiting my daughter at school-been there 100 times. Going across most of the US? Might get there by March if at all so am flattened with WOW. Thanks so much for this, Lucy and Ethel. You'll always have this, too, you know? What an awesome, awesome story-one of those forever kinds of things you'll share.

Gosh, PH, journey hardly over, just the prairie dog part. I'm guessing where you're going the first thing you need to do is buy a good supply of Depends because you'll be giggling for the fore-seeable future. Jobs galore, I'd go get the Depends first then take a nap.

Much, much hugs and thanks to you both, and Iam cheering from her rock on the beach out there,

Anni

Our trip is over and I am home. This was a great trip, so many sites, so many laughs, and it is a whole lot more fun to take your child on a trip when they are past the "when are we going to be there" stage. Although, don't let her get hungry or the whining "when are we going to eat", does start.

Ethyl and I have memories that will last (laugh) a lifetime. I am finding that good memories created in the here and now, carry a lot more weight than the bad of the past. I think that Ethyl put it best when she said there is a difference between "life" and "living". I have started "living" again, and it feels really good.

I am who I am, and will never be what I was or who I thought I should be. For once in my life, I am OK with that and just happy to be me.

Wierd how your head made the proverbial journey 'home' with the rest of you, but cool as heck my wise and happy friend. I think it would be kind of nice to keep this thread going periodically, with some of the journey just beginning now maybe for Lucy and Ethel. There are different kinds, right? If you're feeling contientious about keeping faith with the thread title maybe get in the car and drive around the block a few times, or let PH drive since the whole directional thing seems to be an issue. :D

(((HUGS)))

This is so true, it took PTSD and a wonderful T to help me accept that.

I am who I am.webp
