Lyrica

Has anyone tried and or had any success in using lyrica to help treat there anxiety
I saw a psychiatrist and it was recommended however my family doctor is Leary about it.

I refuse to continue to be a guinea pig for the pharma industries. The products are all toxic for my body. Why risk getting any of their side effects? You can choose this route if you want to...but always beware & have someone close to you monitor you for at least the first few weeks of use. It could save your life if you happen to go into a panic attack or get other health issues from using new things on yourself. I always read the side effects & warnings pamphlet first. That's enough for me to walk away & try something else!

I went out to the Internet and Googled Lyrica and anxiety, and it brought back some interesting information concerning its effectiveness for GAD. Maybe do some research and speak with your physicians about what you've found?

I also think there were some lawsuits over Lyrica, specifically regarding how it was being prescribed for Fibromyalgia (which I believe it was developed for).

But whether or not that's relevant would totally depend on the dosing protocols. So I'd say google that info as well.

I refused to take it. I have Fibromyalgia and anxiety, but wouldn't touch that crap with a 10 foot pole. Sister took it and almost tried suicide. She took it for Fibromyalgia too......
