This made me smile, I hope it does the same for you:)

Hey Froggie, if anyone has a right to sleep all day and not waste any time on house work, it's you. Surviving is a tough job and you're currently doing it doubly, and 24/7, and without any extra pay.

I wholeheartedly support every single of your naps! And I hope they'll get more refreshing, soon.

Froggie,

I am going to recommend a DVD, it is called "Forks Over Knives". A friend gave it to me and it really hit home. It does have a Vegan agenda, but the underlying research is not pseudo-science. (I also have the book and the reference list. Being the research nerd I am, I did read the research papers and the medical review articles.) Really the focus of the documentary is the benefit of a proper diet (fork) over depending upon surgery (knives) to improve, correct, or prevent health problems.

I am exploring diet, not as a "cure" and will do all of the conventional treatments; but I am consulting a nutritionist as to get together a diet plan that will best help me battle the particular cancer I have. I know that my lifestyle is going to have a huge impact (diet, exercise, attitude, sleep) on whether I survive 2, 5, 7, 10 or more years and an even bigger impact on the quality of those years.

You are probably doing these things already, but I though I would mention it anyway.

(((Hugs))) and we will both kick this cancer thing in the butt!!!

That's a good idea, I'd say! Cancer and its therapy cause specific nutritional demands in the body and you can help quite a bit by eating accordingly.

Just a quick bit of information: Nutritionist isn't a protected term, whereas Dietitian is a legally regulated profession. Maybe you just mixed up terms, but when you look for a professional to give you good, substantial advice, look for a dietitian :)

Also, steer clear of Vitamin C supplementation while you're in a chemo regimen. Increased levels of Vit C reduce the efficacy of chemotherapeutical agents by counteracting their cytotoxic effects.

Had an appt. with my GP last Thursday (Feb. 9th), she may have found the problem that's causing my tachycardia. She had uped a dosage for one of my medications last Nov. and she had recently received a notice from that company that if the dosage was of 60 mg, that they found it causes problems like palpitations and stuff. So she lowered the dosage level. Now time will tell what it will do. Just hope it's something as simple as that ! One heck of a problem out of the way if it's just that !

I spend my weekend at my eldest son's place and just sucking up the love especially from my 3 grand-kids. We did paintings, molds of animals and made some pies. I really needed to do that before my chemo treatment. I have a feeling that my therapy will help me deal with this reality, having a 52 hour treatment every 2 weeks for the rest of my life ! When I'm with my grand-children, they give me soooooo much courage and reason to go through with this. Accepting that 3/5 of my life is going to be in an eurk physical state. This gets worse when I get my PTSD nightmares or flashbacks. I have periods of discouragement, but somewhere along the line, I'm just not ready to give up.

I'm sure things will get better when spring and warmer weather will pop up. Today will be a nice warmer day and I'm going to take advantage to take a walk, really walk for a while without having to fear that my face, hands, thighs and/or feet freeze up. This will do good for my depression. Fresh air, a bit of sun, feeling my body move and being alive.
