So i found out i have to start a new thread to post in some forums. I am on OIF and OEF Marine. I had a rough deployment on my first OIF pump in 2010 and been dealing with some mental shit since then. I have been married for a pretty long time and have 3 kids (actually got to see 1 get born which is unusually for most guys). I got diagnosed with PTSD about 6 months ago.

Welcome Jim,

Good to see you found the forum. Plenty of good stuff here that may help explain some the shit going on between your ears. I don't know what the VA has done in terms of meds and treatment but what ever it is many of us have been through it as well. Feel free to ask questions - no medical advice, just what worked for us. Talk therapy is good medicine for soothing the "beast" as it is known by many on this forum. If your are familiar with VA - Vet Centers there is a wealth of programs there for yourself and the family.

There are many OIF/OEF folks here along with some old "Nam Farts like myself. Good luck!

We started the compulsory post so we could get a little info about people and sort out the wannabes and wankers, you know how skeptical us with PTSD are about people, or should I say paranoid??
