Medication Question: Cipralex.

I was prescribed Cipralex 10mg to begin tomorrow. Has anyone been on this? Anything to share about it? I am a little concerned because I already have some nausea and heartburn, and these are also side effects of the meds. I fear how much worse the nausea will get once I start the meds. They did prescribe Zantac as well, so the heart burn may not be an issue.

My son was just put on this for OCD and anxiety...i have noticed that his appetite has decreased but not a lot of side effects so far! best of luck!

I have been on Cipralex in the past. I don't recall any particular side effects (unlike some other antidepressants that I have tried). The reason that I stopped taking it was because, after several months, I didn't have any improvement to my mood. However, what does not work for one will work for another, so don't let that put you off. We are all unique in how we respond to a drug, and that means we are unique when it comes to the side effects also.

I did have nausea and heartburn as a side effect to a different medication. However, I found that it got better after about a week, so it was worth perservering with.
