Hubby used to take his medication every morning as prescribed by the doctor and his Psych, as well as the small dose of another at night.
Problem was he was always sleepy, and I mean always.
So he stopped the one at night, but still slept a lot during the day, as well as at night.
After chatting to his CPN, it was decided that he would take the morning ones at night.
It does say on the leaflet that they can make you either hyper alert or drowsy, so as he was the drowsy one, he has tried out taking them at night instead.
What a difference after a few weeks. He sleeps longer at night, is less drowsy through the day, and his mind is now alert instead of being full of cotton wool all the time.
His body is still craving them in a morning, but this is getting less as time goes by.
He now has a nap in the afternoon, but is awake and alert by 9 to 9.30 most mornings.
He still gets up through the night, but much later than he did before, and for not as long.
He sleeps more settled as well now, less of the jumping around and snoring. Still the odd nightmare, but so far these have reduced too.
