Here is a photo of Mia, another F1 Cavoodle who joins us on 9th January. She has the same father as Lily. This is the breeder's photo and it seems she's covered in a bit of white fluff from the white blanket they have her on. Lily is currently on an extended sleep over and learning to share with a labrador so the timing is somewhat perfect.

Oh boy.
We are speaking of getting a dog next year, after I retire and after an extended holiday thereaf...

Adopt. Not saying anything bad about the orignal post at all (tho Im suprised of the amount of 'breeds' that are coming out of mixing with poodles) there are SOOOOOOO many dogs (more pure bred than not) being put to sleep and dying only due to overcrowding and they've been there so long but are healthy, young, and great dogs and cats. They've just been 'passed up' or overlooked. Want a certian breed? Go to that breed rescue. I am, personally, against breeding at the moment until we get the numbers of dogs and cats AND puppy mills (where most of the puppies in stores come from and its such abuse and torture) down. Again, nothing to do with the orginal poster, Im sure you are a nice person who breeds for the heath of the breed. Im just advocating adopting rather than getting from a breeder is all.

Very cute! I'm jealous, I'd love to get a dog, but not enough room and don't think the cats would be happy with me. LOL

@lostforgottensoul , agreed! Adoption is the way to go! I wonder if this is cultural. When I went to the UK earlier this year I was quite surprised by all the (clearly) pure breds being walked around. I saw breeds I've never actually seen in person before. I made a comment and was told that was extremely common and learned about one family spending £1500 per dog! I also looked at a rescue group in his area and didn't see many mutts. Perhaps Britain and Australia have better laws in place to cut down on accidental litters? Though this won't help breed specific over population, unless that too, is better regulated. Brits love to talk about how much they love animals, so maybe they have a better handle on responsible breeding and knowing where their pet came from and have already cracked down on puppy mills. I really have no idea, but would like some insight for my own curiosity.

I worked with a rescue here in the states and puppy mills are HORRIBLE, over breeding, breeding very unhealthy dogs together. This is where hip dysplasia (spelling?) came from, breeding wring. Even back uard breeders are wrong. Breeders out for the money not caring for the health of the breed. Here in the states at least, mixing breeds with poodles are a popular thing as poodles are non-allerginic so it makes more 'breed' that can go to homes that are allergic. They are more like designer breeds if you will. More peoe need to adopt, save a life, and know that puppies in a store come from horrible puppy mills. The one we shut down and rescued all dogs from was going to a well know pet store.
