MyPTSD is now looking for moderators to assist in the day to day running of the website. There are no restrictions on applications and all applicants will be assessed on their history and application.
You are eligible to apply so long as you are able to maintain a regular presence on the forum (health and occasional times away notwithstanding), and are comfortable enforcing the forum rules and policies.
You do not need to have a certain number of posts to apply; people have joined staff with only a few months' time here, or with years spent here. Being the right kind of person is more important than how long you've been around.
The role can be mentally demanding. You are placing yourself in a position for those with mental health problems to target you, attack you, ask questions of you and more. If you are easily upset by conflict, this may not be the role for you.
You need to be knowledgeable of forum rules and staff policies:
Moderators are limited to one or a handful of forums. You will not be expected to moderate the entire forum.
If you are interested in the position for status, please don't apply. Moderators are regular members who are willing to volunteer extra time to keep the forum running smoothly, that's all.
