My plan was to put all the movies into the randomize thing, take like the first 10 or something and we could vote on that.

I did the poll for pick your favorite two movies. I think doing two at a time is okay. Think of it like a double feature or something. :D

I am not quite sure how I am going to make the movie threads. I was thinking of having two movies in one thread, like a double feature kind of thing. That way the two movies we vote on will be together and not get confused with future voted movie threads.

I am not sure how much time we are going to spend on the two movies either. Any ideas on how long you want to be able to watch the movies and then discuss it?

Then I was thinking that our movie list we created could be added too and I would do keep repeating the process of random selection and voting on movies, then discuss two at a time. Of course, taking out the movies that we already voted, watched and discussed.

In the ten movies that we are voting on now, the ones that are not selected will be put back in the movie list to be voted on and watched a different thread in the future.

Right now the movie list is a little over 50 movies.

I hope this all makes sense. For some reason I keep trying to spell movies, m-o-i-v-e-s. Shows you my frame of mind.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

It's in Hindi, but as subtitles. Favorite movie ever. Won a few awards and has one of the biggest Indian actors starring in it.

I'm use to use closed captions so subtitles are no problem for me, both movies sound like great additions to our list.

So are we going to have an additional polling area? Am I understanding this correctly?

I think some people might work or have school/children so possibly having a week per movie might be needed?? Just a suggestion. On some movies I am able to get by ordering, others I might have to find another way to get so if we are doing 2 at a time I'm going to need time to get them but not too much going by before I forget what I saw! :confused:

I started a new thread for the winners of the first movie club poll. Gone with the wind and forest gump.

We need to decide how long to watch movies etc.

How long will everyone need? I was just going to rent mine of amazon instant.

I think I have both the movies. I use captions cause I need them. So youtube's always out for me- it could be a good way for others though to get the movies.
