Thanks for your support. I've posted this onto a writers forum (a dead serious one) and haven't recieved any bad comments. So I'm looking into the long and grueling process of getting published.

Thanks again.

This is absolutely fantastic!!! Let us know when it is accepted by a publishing company. I will definitely go buy it. It just the type of story Bright would love to read.

Thank you! I've got some addresses ready, but I want to come back to it in a couple of months and then polish it a bit before I start sending it off!

I want to write some more like this and maybe send off a collection, but I don't have any ideas. If anyone wants to give me some inspiration... Give me some suggestions and I'll make it happen!

What about writing something on PTSD? Some things for adults others for kids to understand PTSD.

If you like animal stories better, you could write something on a therapy animal for people with PTSD. Or something about service animals for various disabilities.

You could also take any of your experiences as a kid and write about those.

An emotionally difficult one could be about your trauma...

I have a number of adult stories on the go; got lots of good ideas for them.

I really had so much fun writing this and it only took 2 days and my kids loved it, so I wanted to maybe do a few more. But I want to convey serious messages behind the stories, for eg. Mr Tom is very real, there are so many stray cats out there and only a lucky few manage to get a nice home.

But after you replied, you did give me some inspiration and I've already started looking online about guide dogs! Maybe a story about a puppy and the training he goes through to become a guide dog. I know life in general for working dogs is very rewarding for them!

What's interesting is that for Bright's service dog agency, especially for hearing dogs, they use rescued animals from shelters.

Writing is one of my passions too, but poetry or any kind of rhyming is insanely difficult because I don't know how words sound.

I love dogs. I've taken in many strays and so many of them have been through so much abuse and neglect from humans, and I find it amazing how trusting and loyal they still are.

I'd love to read some of your writing. What do you write about?
