Domestic violence is much bigger than PTSD... it should surpass this place within a couple of years if all goes well.

Please feel welcome to come across and visit if you've suffered domestic violence. It has been enlightening yet sad for me to see how much more difficult it is for some to actually discuss their trauma than their symptoms of abuse (which is done here). I am sorry for all those who have suffered abuse and commend you for being able to have the courage to speak in an attempt to heal. :hug:

Probably a silly question, yet, I mean it: What IS domestic violence? Usually, when I hear the term it's mainly physical abuse. This is what I did not get. Got sexual and emotional, though. Does that "count"? Sorry, just haven't felt I should sign up until now because I wasn't sure of whether I fit. (Sounds even weird to me now so I'll just hit post.)

• Financial abuse
  
• Verbal abuse
  
• Social abuse
  
• Emotional abuse

Some victims can experience one or a combination of the above forms of abuse.
