I think that post traumatic stress disorder is all in the head, as long as you block it out then it wont be there. my doctor diagnosed me with it then come to find out, it was just because nerves in my upper lumbar vertebrae were triggering nerves in my brain, making me feel depressed. i suggest finding something that makes you happy and just stick to it the rest of your life. its working for me!:thumbs-up

Damon92,

You, sir, are not qualified to say what PTSD is or is not.

Your doctor thinks that a lumbar problem is affecting the nerves in your brain??????

There are no nerves in your brain(I studied neuroanatomy).

Your doc mis-diagnosed you and you are offensive for suggesting to us that PTSD is something you can just block out.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

My body strongly disagrees with you! And I find that blocking my PTSD from the concious part of my brain, only results in stronger bodily reactons.

Sorry, Damon92. You are a very far way from understanding what PTSD is and how it affects its sufferers. Have you been diagnosed with it? If that is the case, you need a new trauma trained therapist. We experience PTSD as very damaging to our bodies, minds, spirits and souls. It cripples us. We do not think this way voluntarily. And good wishes like yours would bury us in damaging denial- a more deadly prison than you can imagine.
