Travis told me I should share some NFB vignettes. They are short films, usually animated, which used to always be aired on CBC Television, and also on CFRT (Canadian Forces Radio and Television), which I grew up watching since I spent a lot of time on bases overseas as a kid. Anyways they're mostly pretty weird haha but OMG do they ever make me nostalgic for my childhood!

"The Dance" - This is probably the most well known (and weirdest). Every Canadian 40 and under grew up seeing this one. Everyone knows it. I still have the tune in my head after years of seeing it:

"The Egg" - This one really creeped me out as a kid but now it's pretty cool actually!

"The Log Driver's Waltz" - I still know the song by heart LOL.

"Faces" and "The Maple Leaf" - These two inspired me to be an artist. I remember being under 5 and wanting to copy the drawings!

"The Big Snit" - This one used to scare me as a kid (I think it's because of the nuclear war aspect), but watching it now I really like it! It got all kinds of awards. And btw it says "TBS" on YouTube but it most definitely is not Turner Broadcasting! It's Canadian!!! Grrrr. Americans are always trying to pretend our stuff is theirs!!!

Those are neat! They remind me a little bit of some of the bits that I used to see on Sesame Street. I like the egg one until the whooshing wind sound at the end--creepy!

Hmm yeah they are kind of like Sesame Park in a way... (that's Canadian Sesame Street haha). Yeah the whooshing is creepy. Not sure what that egg one is supposed to mean exactly...

OMG, talk about childhood flashbacks! I recognized them as soon as it started playing! Great find Evie!
