Good for you, Anthony! :)

Well, I still have high hopes for the Texans. I know the odds are against me there too, but I just could not bet against them. Especially with the Patriots. Fingers crossed!

I'm so ready for Tennis now.. I'm down to 2k :(

I hate finals... they're obviously the toughest of all games, and even what is supposedly the underdog, can easily come out and flog the other team, as both are in the semi's / finals arena after all... which says something for both teams playing.

Agreed... very tricky to pick them.

I picked patriots to win mostly because Tom Brady is their quarterback. No getting around that he really knows what he is doing and that I think he can lead the team to a win.

The stupid thing is... for me, I use the results based on the little sliding scale typically, closer to each game, as I find it is the most accurate then after anyone being ruled in or out for injuries.

That is what I typically use, as I have no idea about American Football. Again... I use it closer to the game, taking into account the majority of fans opinion, which changes drastically closer to the game once injuries are factored.

The injures is a good point and I did not think of it. :O_o:

But there was a game a week ago, two weeks ago? I can't remember which team it was either. And the quarterback was injured during the game and they had to bring in someone else who was a rookie. The team sort of fell apart at the point. And the quarterback was very unsure of himself, he kept taking to long to throw the ball and kept getting tackled before throwing it.

I'll probably wait to bet on the 49ers game.

Not much you can do about that one... but leading up to the game... can make some very big differences on which way to bet. A team may be favourite with x and y player getting past fitness testing from injury, but one or both don't, then suddenly the teams chances go down.

I still stick with my original theory... that it's just a very difficult thing to pick the winner in finals. A team can have their best players and get their arse kicked from losing moral or something. Like you mentioned, an injured quarterback during the game, a rookie one with no leadership, and moral goes to crap.

Gambling... :coffee:
