They don't need em (MRAP's). They're POS's and cost a good chunk of cash to maintain. Give it a couple of years and you'll see the local PD's selling them off because they can't afford it or want a more reliable vehicle. I don't know how many times I had to manually open the ramp because it went out.
The government just wants to get rid of them so of course law enforcement will jump on the chance since they look cool and they're intimatating.
