Hello I just found this group I hope I can find some help and hope here with you all. My PTSD stems from recently almost faced jail time. I fear going out for m afraid I’m going to be pullover or being watched. I cower if I see or hear sirens. I can’t sleep to many thoughts running in my mind.

was this trauma recent enough that it might still be *normal* PTS? post traumatic stress? i put normal in asterisk because i don't much believe in normal. every case is unique, but if i am understanding my pros correctly, there are expected responses to any traumatic event. if you encounter an unexpected presence in a hallway, it takes a while to catch your breath and slow down your heart rate. that is *normal* PTS response. if the PTS is not well-healed, it develops into the disorder.

whatever the answer to that question, you have found a most excellent spot to ask questions and look for support. welcome aboard. i hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
