I am glad you are here.
Some new members will post in detail on their first post, others can barely say hello. Whatever is comfortable for you is fine.
You do not yet reveal what your trauma is. I dare say that when you do, someone here will say I know how you feel. Only because they DO. I am sure that others will say that they feel comfortable here because of that. That no matter how alone you may feel in your experience or thoughts, there are those here that "get it" because of their own histories. Not a shallow "I know" but "I know because it happened to me"
Others, like myself, will NOT know exactly how you feel. Have not experienced your specific trauma but still care. Some have had an all together different trauma but still know the sting of PTSD. Others like myself, don't have PTSD at all but have loved ones who do. I cannot say I know how you feel but I can say "I get it" and that I care.
I hope that your simple initial post is a baby step toward healing for you as you discover the resources here. Not only the information but the sense of family here. The journey to heal is something that YOU have to do yourself. You will have to work on it, of course. Maybe, just maybe, you will connect with others. That support here is just great beyond words.
Welcome!
