Welcome and good for you for starting treatment! I know it is hard to step up and say hey I really need some help with this...but you did it. Do you get therapy at a clinic on the base you are assigned to? I am glad you have the support of your fiance too...having someone there to just love and accept you when the day is over makes a huge difference.

Hi, Yes, I get treatment from the Behavioral Health clinic on post. Things seem to be going ok so far. My Fiance is an enourmous help for me. She is also in the Army as a medic, and she was present at the time of some of my traumatic experiences, though not at the site they happened, but in the same area, and has seen the aftermath of the incidents. It helps knowing that she was there and can understand what I am going through.

Understanding and support is SO important! You are so lucky to have that. I hope you won't have to go back downrange anymore. Enough is enough eh?? So are you in the States now?

Well, I have 5 years left til I can retire at 20, so there is a chance I may go for round 3. This last tour was the 3rd for my Fiance too. Number 2 for me.

I am in the states now, got back in July. I am on orders to go to Army Recruiter school in November, but my Psychologist says I shouldn't go, Unfortunatley the Army doesn't really take reccomendations when they order you to go somewhere. I guess we will see how it works out. It makes me really nervous because of my Anxiety issues, I will keep everyone posted on the progress!
