Hey Rez. You still out in Edmonton, or did you move after you released? I served with the Strats for 20 years. Bosnia 94, 97, 2000 and Afghanistan 2002 and 2007. Good luck at the OSI. The one in Fredericton was fair and helpful. Have you been in contact with OSSISS yet? They work out of Brigade HQ in Edmonton. (Or they use to anyways) All their counsillers are ex mil with PTSD. They've been where you are and aren't afraid to give you a map. Up to you to use the map though.

OSI Clinic is civi run. The Ex Mil guys are the OSSISS support centre. I started out in Calgary, back when the base was down on the reserve. Good city, but allot of horses. I'll see if I can find a contact number for OSSISS in Calgary. There are allot of retired Military there. Should be one.

Welcome Rezdawg. I like that part of the world, well, Medicine Hat/BATUS anyway. Yes, really.

Hey Rezdawg

Welcome to the forums. Glad you've found us and glad you've made it back. Love Canada, got a lot of friends in the Montreal area. Always enjoy the chance to travel there.

His job is to help you find resources, give you information, and let you know there is help out there. All OSSISS Reps have been diagnosed with PTSD and have gone through the treatment process themselves. They also organize meetings where you can get together with other veterans with PTSD, and mine even picked me up after my first few therapy sessions so I wouldn't do something stupid.

Which as you are just starting out, be warned, there are bumps on this trail. But the other end is a much better place than where you are now.
