@Ba Muoi Ba-Thanks for the welcome. "Christy Cream" has me laughing. :ROFLMAO: I'm glad I found the forum. It's hard not being able to talk about PTSD with anyone other than my therapists. People are afraid and judgmental of what they don't understand, so it's nice to have a place to feel safe to be myself a little. ;)

Grlywolf, I too was in medicine before and during my experience. I quit the road to being a doctor because of it. I needed to get away from the trauma. I was sitting on my hospital bed and looked around to a scene I had witnessed too many times. I hate the smell of alcohol, linen, and burned flesh. Saw too much blood, including my own. I get pissed off at people with stupid maladies like a cold, including myself.

I don't know how you even make it through the day. The thought of wearing greens anymore breaks me out in a sweat. Camos do too.

@vikingr24 Thank you for the warm welcome. Sorry to hear your dreams of becoming a doctor were cut short. I'm sure you would've been a great one. Some days of being a nurse are better than others. Today was extremely difficult due to some intrusive memories, but I called my therapist for support along with a close friend and made it through. One day at a time. That's all I can do. (y)
